When a business invests money in new production, where does it get the money?
It’s not all from debt – banks don’t finance 100%.
It can be from equity – but why do investors invest? And where do they get the capital to invest?
What is capital?
Where does it come from?
The Fed can print money but can it create capital?
If not, well then what is capital? What creates capital?
So, Suthrnly – what you’re saying is that the reinvestment of capital, which is the engine of growth, job creation etc…. – - – - that capital that is reinvested, that’s past EARNINGS????
So if those earnings had been, say, TAXED AWAY, there’d be less to reinvest, thus less growth – or at least less growth until the Fed prints money to fuel a temporary boom?
By reinvesting the profits they make back into the business. That’s what I do.
